I’m now a senior but I’m still puzzled by religion. Basd on my observation ever since I became an adult, religious groups keep on growing in numbers. One explanation is the disagreement. When someone in authority disagrees with another in authority, there is a tendency to divide the group and form another sect. With Christianity alone, the protestants is the most popular breakaway from the Catholic but there are so many other sects that are lesser in number but can be considered a legitimate religious group.

If the Bible is the basis of the Christians then why is there a difference of interpretation for the meaning of the Bible contents? I am seeing religion as no different from the law or constitution of a country that for each lawyer, there is their own interpretation of the law. Worse, for every judge, there is also their own interpretation.

    Yeah, pretty much.

But I will suggest that it is all about power, not about the religion.
