Does the forum hosting need more bandwidth? A lot of server time-outs.
Nah there's still plenty of bandwidth for the site. The server might have been having a little downtime or there could be something going on with your internet connection.
Couldn't get on this morning until recently. Other sites were fine, but for about three hours, I was locked out of DT!
Likely it was the server as I had the problem as well. All seems back to normal now though.
The server was probably having some down time. The bandwidth usage is still far below the limits.
I always use the biggest plan available, aside from getting a server, so no problems will arise. Then again, however, one of my forums has a lot of images.
Yep, images and music are storage hogs. Of course, both these can be compressed.
You can use free services to upload the images, but you might expose the audience ot unwanted ads.
I figure if your paying for hosting, then why not use it to the max. Upload images on your own server.
Well, sure, if one as the disk space, why not?
I use Tiny Pic when I want to embed an image somewhere. It seems to work pretty well. It's free and I haven't had any ad problems yet.
Sorry, website was slow yesterday.
It's been a while when this thread was started but today I also faced a "similar" problem - it was all working well, when pages stopped loading. The error showed up was, "Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data."... hopefully it's a momentarily glitch from server but I faced it for 4-5 minutes.
